Nigeria's Dangote Cement said on Thursday its first quarter pretax
profit rose 32.3 percent to 70.16 billion naira ($354 million), compared
with the same period of last year.
Revenue rose to 114.73 billion naira in the period to
end-March against 103.56 billion a year earlier, the company majority
owned by Africa's top billionaire Aliko Dangote said in a statement,
without giving any reasons for the higher earnings.
