BEFFTA Awards Nominates Nigerian Writer Chioma Nnani

Abuja-based writer, Chioma Nnani, was recently nominated for a BEFFTA (Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts) Award in the United Kingdom.
 

Chioma who will be the first Nigerian to be nominated under the Arts category, has spent most parts of her growing up in the United Kingdom.

The elated ghost writer who has authored couple books, said “On another level, this means a lot, because of where I'm from. We (Nigeria) receive so much bad press, that it can get tempting to think that that's all there is to us. For me to be one of the reasons that the world is compelled to recognize another aspect to the Nigerian story, is one of the greatest honours of my life. My BEFFTA nomination is easily one of the highlights of my 2014.”

Chioma Nnani is also an award-winning radio producer, radio presenter and author of “Forever There For You”.
